Humanities Group

50% in aggregate and 45% in subject or 55% in subject if aggregate is less than 50% for English, Bengali, History, Political Science.
Number of seats : 50 in each subject.

For Journalism and Mass Communication (Self Finance) 50% in aggregate including English. Number of seats : 20.

Commerce Group

50% in aggregate and 45% in Accountancy/Mathematics or 55% in Accountancy/Mathematics if aggregate is less than 50%.
Number of sets : 50.

Science Group

  • 50% in aggregate and 45% in subject or 55% in subject if aggregate is less than 50% for Physics (40), Chemistry (40), Mathematics (50), Zoology (30) and Botany (30).
  • 50% in aggregate and pass in Physics (Th,Pr), Chemistry (Th,Pr), Mathematics and Biology (Th,Pr) for Biochemistry (Self Finance).
    Number of seats : 20
  • 50% in aggregate and pass in mathematics for Computer Science (Self Finance).
    Number of seats : 20
  • 50% in aggregate and pass in Biology and Chemistry/Physics for Microbiology (Self Finance).
    Number of seats : 20
  • 50% in aggregate and 45% in Economics and pass in Mathematics or 55% in Economics if aggregate is less than 50%. Students not having Economics at the 10+2 level may also apply if the aggregate is above 50% for Economics.
    Number of sets : 40

    For admission in any stream pass in English is necessary; pass in lab based subject means pass in both theory and practical.

    For SC/ST candidates : 40% in the subject or 40% in aggregate.

Reservation of seats :
22% for SC, 6% for ST, 3% for Differently Abled (according to Govt. rules).

  1. For students opting for Computer Science & Microbiology as a General Subject ,additional fees to be paid :
    1. Laboratory Deposit Rs.2000/-
    2. Tution Fee Rs.200/- per month
    3. laboratory Fee Rs.200 yearly
  2. For Students opting Journalism & Mass Communication as a General subject, additional fees to be paid :
    1. Laboratory Deposit Rs.2000/-
    2. Tution Fee Rs.200/- per month
    3. laboratory Fee Rs.100 per month
  3. For B.Com (Honoyrs & General) studnts additional fees for I.T to be paid :
    1. Caution Deposit Rs.250/-
    2. Tution Fees Rs.40/- per month

Payment of Fees :

  1. All fees,except library fines must be paid through Indian Overseas bank.
  2. Tution fees must be paid before the fifteenth of each month.A fin of Rs. 10/- per month is levied for defaulters.
  3. Fees for admission are to be paid before the scheduled date in order to have names enrolled in class registers.
  4. Rs. 25/- is charged for a duplicate identity Card and Rs. 20/- for duplicate Fees Book.
  5. All dues must be cleared before commencement of examinations.
  6. Refund of caution money, with appropriate deduction for damages, will be available after completion of the course and withina specified date, failing which, the amount is likely to be fortified.
  7. Library fines- Rs. 10/- is levied per week on each book that is overdue. Books lost/tornetc. Must be compensated for at rates decided by the authorities. Fines, not exceeding Rs. 100/ are payable at the library.
  8. Students in SC and ST categories are eligible for Government stipends.
  9. No refund will be made for cancellation of admission.
